Privacy Policy

Last updated: 21 June 2026 · This notice is provided under Articles 13–14 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).

This website is a dissemination output of the SPORE-MED project. We keep data collection to a strict minimum: the site uses no analytics, no profiling and no advertising. This page explains what limited personal data may be processed when you visit or contact us, and the rights you have.

02

What data we process

a) Browsing data (server logs)

The systems and software used to operate this website acquire, in the course of their normal operation, certain personal data whose transmission is implicit in the use of internet communication protocols. This may include IP addresses, browser and device type, requested URLs, time of the request and other parameters relating to the operating environment. This data is processed by the hosting provider to deliver the site, ensure security and produce anonymous, aggregate statistics, and is not used to identify visitors.

b) Data you provide voluntarily

If you contact us by email (for example via the addresses on the site), we process the data you choose to share — such as your name, email address and the content of your message — solely to handle your request.

c) Cookies and similar technologies

This site does not use profiling, analytics or advertising cookies. A single technical entry may be stored locally in your browser to remember that you have dismissed the privacy notice. Full details are in the Cookie Policy.

03

Purposes and legal bases

  • Operating, securing and improving the website — legal basis: the legitimate interest of the Controller (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) in delivering a safe, functioning site.
  • Responding to your enquiries — legal basis: steps taken at your request and our legitimate interest in replying (Art. 6(1)(b)/(f) GDPR).
  • Compliance with legal obligations — legal basis: Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR.
04

Recipients and third parties

Personal data may be processed by carefully selected parties acting as data processors or autonomous controllers:

  • Hosting provider — operates the server infrastructure on which the site runs.
  • Web fonts — self-hosted — the typefaces (Fraunces, Inter, IBM Plex Mono) are served directly from this website's own domain. No request is made to Google or any external font CDN, so no data (including your IP address) is shared with third parties to display the site.
  • External links — pages we link to (e.g. the SPORE-MED, PRIMA, University and partner sites) have their own independent privacy policies, for which we are not responsible.

We do not sell personal data and do not use it for automated decision-making or profiling.

05

Retention

Browsing data in server logs is kept only for the time strictly necessary for security and technical purposes, after which it is deleted or anonymised, save where retention is required to ascertain offences. Email correspondence is kept for the time needed to handle your request and to meet related legal obligations.

06

Your rights

Under Articles 15–22 GDPR you have the right to: access your data; obtain rectification or erasure; restrict or object to processing; data portability; and to withdraw any consent at any time without affecting prior processing. To exercise these rights, write to professor@vincenzonaddeo.it.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — in Italy, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (garanteprivacy.it) — if you believe your data is processed unlawfully.

07

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in the website or in applicable law. The current version is always published on this page with its revision date.
